Building a better community! "There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." – Margaret J. Wheatley
uTurn Project Inc. is an avenue for social action to provide for the needs of vulnerable members of society. We assist newcomers to Canada through settlement services, job searches and introductions to new friends. Addressing the need for community development in the Indian sub- continent with a focus on the vulnerability of children who are often at the core of human trafficking, poverty and abuse. Partnering with and assisting local community organizations, churches and institutions in providing a community resourced approach to helping newcomers integrate into our society.
Introducing New Canadians to Canada requires uTurn Project Inc. to be engaged with Canada's societal systems. Primarily, uTurn Project focuses on Canadian celebrations as a way to engage New Canadians with Canadian ideology, values, and history. The events uTurn Project hosts require the local community be involved in welcoming the New Canadians. The events are as much for the New Canadians as the local community.
uTurn Project envisions a community who shares the responsibility and well-being of everyone around the world.
uTurn Project mission is to help communities locally and globally to be able to sustain, develop, and maintain a better community for everyone.
The "U" in uTurn Project symbolizes that anyone can turn around and make a difference. The figures holding hands are communities that are connected. Together we can all make a difference.
