Local Programs

Canada Day:
For the past ten years, we have been privileged enough to host our own Canada Day celebration. For this event, we invite residents to join us for an outdoor barbeque along with performances and activities for the entire family.

National Flag Day celebration:
During these events, we take a moment to recognize all that the Canadian flag represents and discuss the history of our nation with our community.

International Women's Day:
Every year we join together with the women in our communities to not only celebrate the various milestones women have achieved, but also the many more milestones we must still concur.

Stampede Breakfasts:
During two-week-long event we join together with other organizations to hold a Calgary Stampede Breakfast. We encourage the community to come out and join in on the festivities and get into the stampede spirit. The event includes performances from local entertainers, activities for the whole family, and of course; stacks of pancakes!

Anti- Racism Event
For this project, we wanted to shine a light on the various forms of racism within Canada. We wanted to look at what we as Canadians have experienced, and how we want to change our current system to adhere to those experiences. Thus, we have decided to create three separate projects that will discuss the topic with three groups (youth, the general public, and government officials) and work towards solutions.

iCare campaign:
Working alongside the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, we advocate for the increase in agricultural aid, in order to end global hunger through postcards that we have Canadians sign, showing their support for the cause.
